Cougar Mountain Software was founded in 1982 by Bob Gossett, our current CEO’s father. In the early 80’s Bob had the vision to leverage the power of innovative computing to deliver efficiency in accounting. Over the years Bob was extremely dedicated to his customers and even more so to his employees. He worked closely with customers and his team to solve their business problems with innovative software. Upon his passing in 2014 his son, Chuck Gossett, a well-respected entrepreneur and business owner in the Boise area, took his place. Since then Chuck has been committed to Cougar Mountain Software customers, the staff, and to carry forward his father’s vision of delivering innovative accounting software. The loyalty to their customers and employees is demonstrated with one of the highest customer retention rates in today’s software vendor space. Over 61% of Cougar Mountain Software customers use the company’s products in excess of 16 years.
